I’m off to the Tropcadéro (or thereabouts) to watch the fireworks from the Eiffel Tower, which they normally don’t do, but this year they are for the 120th anniversary of the tower – perfect!

Indeed! It was a complete madhouse everywhere in the city, riot police were all about and cordoned off the metro stations so only a certain number of people could get to the platform at a time, it took more than an hour to get maybe half a kilometer, and there were probably a few thousand people on the trains – insane! I got near the Eiffel Tower (along with a huge number of other people.. everywhere was packed) and made it just in time, maybe two minutes before midnight!
Hope everyone else’s new years eve was great!
