Today I bought two things that should make the remainder of the trip even better, both from Oxford street in London.
1 – A prepaid (15£) SIM card for my iPhone. Now I have 500mb of data for my phone, no credit card or even name needed. Nice! It’s on the O2 network, and so far, so good. Should work throughout the UK.
2 – A long wool peacoat, at 89£ it was a good deal around here (I asked some locals not associated with any stores and they said not to pay more than about 100£ – which is easy to do in all the big stores. I’m already warmer! It’s got a zip up chest warmer, double flap button front, and a detachable hood, which should be great in Scotland.
London deffinetly has the shops – I can see how people who really like shopping would be right at home here.

What’s the phone number? How many minutes/sms do you get for 15£ along with the 500mb?
0 minutes (it’s sold purely as a data/sms SIM – the package has twitter and facebook logos on it), Unlimited UK SMS, along with the 500mb “unlimited” (no one will ever need more than six hundred and forty…) data.
The number is..
07
523
29
06
38
O2 also does weird “surprises” for pay and go customers, which basically gives you some random “surprise” when you top-up. Mine (the initial purchase is a top-up) was free unlimited UK calls this weekend. Weird, but maybe handy while I’m out here too – neat!
I <3 peacoats!!
Also… Now I know your super secret phone number bwahahaha. But I don't know mine. ROFL.
